Legalization Process
The academic enrollment legalization process for admitted applicants will be carried out virtually through the Sistema de Información – Estudiantes UIS (Information System – UIS Students). To complete this process, follow these steps:
- Click the “Estudiantes UIS” (UIS Students) button.
- Log in using your code and password.
- Select the “Documentos” (Documents) button.
- Finally, click on “Cargar documentos para legalización” (Upload documents for legalization).

Note 1: You must upload your civil registration, identification document, EPS certificate, student ID form, high school diploma, and graduation certificate before December 19, 2025. Afterwards, you will only need to upload the tuition bill and payment receipt, which must be submitted between January 5 and 13, 2026. Once this last document is uploaded, the process of submitting documents for enrollment legalization will be considered complete.
Note 2: Once you have uploaded the documents for enrollment legalization, you must check their review status. When all documents have been marked as accepted, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered address, confirming the enrollment legalization and providing information about the induction week, schedule publication, and start of classes.

Important
Notes
The Agreement of the Academic Council No. 232 of 2013 (PDF Document) establishes the grounds for requesting the reservation of a place for admitted applicants. These are:
Provision of Military Service during the academic period for which the student has been admitted.
Duly documented or certified clinical illness that prevents the start of the first semester of the academic program to which the student was accepted.
Enrollment, duly certified, in second language improvement courses in educational institutions abroad.
Applicants who meet any of these grounds must send their application in a letter addressed to the Admissions Committee, signed and accompanied by the relevant supporting documents, to the email inscripciones@uis.edu.co.
Those admitted who were previously students of the UIS must be in good standing with the University in order to formalize their enrollment. Therefore, it is recommended to check your status in the student system and verify that there is no registered debt.
- To request the homologation (transfer) of courses taken in another UIS program, you must contact the School Council of your new academic program. The request is made through the “Sistema Académico” (Academic System): log in with your username and password, select the option “servicios académicos” (academic services), then choose “solicitud académico-financiera” (academic-financial request), and finally “homologación de asignaturas por traslado, simultaneidad y reforma académica” (course homologation due to transfer, simultaneous enrollment, or academic reform).
- If you advanced courses in the Faculty of Sciences and wish to request homologation (credit transfer), you must send the “formulario adelanto de materias” (Course Advancement Form) to inscripciones@uis.edu.co before completing the enrollment legalization process.
- If you, as an admitted, do not wish to make use of your quota for any reason, we ask you to inform the university by email to inscripciones@uis.edu.co, so that we can offer this opportunity to another applicant.
- It should be noted that, if the legalization of enrollment is not carried out within the dates stipulated in the admission letter, it will be understood that the quota is not accepted and it will be reassigned to the next applicant on the list.
