LEGALIZACIÓN DE MATRÍCULA
The procedure for legalizing academic enrollment for first-level students will be carried out virtually, by entering the “Sistema académico”(Academic System):
- Enter your code and password
- Select the “Documentos”(Documents) option
- By last clicking on “Subir Legalización de Documentos” (Upload legalization documents)
Note: once you upload the registration legalization documentation, you must be checking the status of the documents. When all the documents are in accepted status, the confirmation of legalization of enrollment will be sent to the registered email with information on the week of induction, publication of schedules and start of classes.
1. Click on the “Academic System” button
2. Enter your code and password
3. Select the “Change Personal Photo” option
4. Upload your photo
Please note for the upload of the photograph:
- Size: 3x4cm
- Document Type
- Use a white background
- Dark clothing
- Make sure the image has a good resolution
- Take care of your personal presentation
- This photograph will be your Institutional photo
- Scans are not supported
All documents below must be in PDF format.
1. Civil Registry
Legible photocopy of the Civil Registry (PDF format).

2. Identity document
Photocopy of the identity document enlarged to 150 (PDF format).
Note 1: Foreign students must present a visa and a foreigner’s identity card.
Note 2: Foreign students must present a visa and a foreigner’s identity card. In the case of applicants of Venezuelan Nationality, present a Temporary Protection Permit

3. Degree certificate
Photocopy of the diploma and certificate of high school degree.
Note: Those who have obtained the degree abroad must present validation of the degree to the Ministry of Education.

4. Social security
Proof of recent affiliation to a health or social security service provision entity, or failing that, a tuition payment receipt stating the payment of health rights. It is noted that the health rights offered by the University through University Welfare are a support for the attention of low-complexity situations and do not replace or have scope in social security institutions.

5. Enrolment Settlement
Copy of the tuition fee and proof of payment (both files in a single PDF).
Notes: If you are sure that you comply with the requirements of the State Policy of Free Enrolment, you may legalise your enrolment without paying your settlement, only attaching a copy of the settlement.

Select the “Personal Data” option
Select the “Personal Information” menu in the top right resume format.
Once downloaded, keep the following recommendations in mind:
Perform the digital signature according to the SmallPDF video, found below. The signature must be mechanical, that is, sign on a blank sheet of paper, take a photo of it and save it to add to the resume.Note 1: The resume has a space to authorize a person other than you to provide you with academic information.
Note 2: Resume without photograph is not valid.

Notes
- Admitted applicants who are unable to enrol for the following reasons must request a place reservation from the Admissions Committee before the date of legalisation of enrolment, attaching the respective supports as appropriate:
- Military service
- Student’s illness
- Academic Exchange
- Admitted students who were previously UIS students must be in good standing with the University in order to enroll.
Note: In order to homologate the subjects taken in another UIS programme, you must apply for the homologation of your new academic programme from the School Council.
- By not legalizing the enrolment on the assigned day, it will be understood that you do not accept the quota and it will be immediately reassigned.
- For those admitted who, for any reason, do not wish to make use of their quota, we ask you to inform the university by email to the address inscripciones@uis.edu.co so that we can provide this opportunity to another applicant.
- If you have advanced subjects in the Faculty of Sciences and wish to have it approved, you must send the form “Advance of subjects” to the inscripciones@uis.edu.co email.
