Important
Notes
The Agreement of the Academic Council No. 232 of 2013 (PDF Document) establishes the grounds for requesting the reservation of a place for admitted applicants. These are:
Provision of Military Service during the academic period for which the student has been admitted.
Duly documented or certified clinical illness that prevents the start of the first semester of the academic program to which the student was accepted.
Enrollment, duly certified, in second language improvement courses in educational institutions abroad.
Applicants who meet any of these grounds must send their application in a letter addressed to the Admissions Committee, signed and accompanied by the relevant supporting documents, to the email inscripciones@uis.edu.co.
Those admitted who were previously students of the UIS must be in good standing with the University in order to formalize their enrollment. Therefore, it is recommended to check your status in the student system and verify that there is no registered debt.
To request the homologation of subjects taken in another UIS program, it is necessary to contact the School Council of your new academic program. The application is made through the “Academic System”: log in with your username and password, select the option of academic services, and then choose “academic-financial application” and, finally, “homologation of subjects by transfer, simultaneity and academic reform”.
If you advanced subjects in the Faculty of Sciences and wish to homologate, you must send the “formulario adelanto de materias” (advance of subjects form) to the email of inscripciones@uis.edu.co before finalizing the enrollment legalization process.
If you, as an admitted, do not wish to make use of your quota for any reason, we ask you to inform the university by email to inscripciones@uis.edu.co, so that we can offer this opportunity to another applicant.
It should be noted that, if the legalization of enrollment is not carried out within the dates stipulated in the admission letter, it will be understood that the quota is not accepted and it will be reassigned to the next applicant on the list.
