ENROLLMENT
Requirements
The person interested in participating in the admission process to the in-person undergraduate programs in Bucaramanga must meet the following requirements:
Have passed 11th grade or be in it.
Have taken the Saber 11th State Exam with a validity of no more than five years (2019 onwards).
Certify a minimum score of 31 points in each of the areas of knowledge that make up the State Exam: Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Citizenship, Natural Sciences and English.
Note 1: for applicants exempt from the English test, according to Decree 34 of 1980 of the Ministry of Education, only the scores of Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Citizenship, and Natural Sciences will be taken into account.
Note 2: Applicants to the Bachelor of Music program must submit additional requirements. Check them out in the “Bachelor of Music Requirements” button.
Note 3: Applicants who are admitted to the Physiotherapy program will begin their studies in the second academic period of 2025.
Note 4: If you are interested in enrolling in the Professional Technician in Execution of Cultural and Creative Projects, in conjunction with another academic program option, you can enroll as long as you have taken the Saber 11° test as of 2019. If the Saber 11° test was taken before 2019, you will only be able to register one option which must be the Professional Technician in Execution of Cultural and Creative Projects.
The person interested in participating in the admission process to the undergraduate program Professional Technician in Execution of Cultural and Creative Projects, must meet the following requirements:
Have passed grade 11 or be taking it.
Have taken the ICFES or Saber 11° test. Regardless of its filing date.
Registration will be disabled for those who:

In the event that a socio-economic condition different from the one registered in the SISBEN has been declared, and which has the consequence of having accessed a lower cost or rate than the one to which it corresponds, the registration will be cancelled automatically and at any time, without the need for prior request. The foregoing is without prejudice to the controls adopted by the University in the procedures and systems to carry out the registration process for the different undergraduate programs.

Is with current enrollment in any undergraduate program of the UIS.

Is subject to disciplinary sanction in force at the UIS.

Aspire to the same undergraduate program from which you were excluded due to poor academic performance or have not renewed enrollment in that program.

Have enrolled two undergraduate programs at UIS.
Note 4: In case of admission, the student who obtained his or her bachelor’s degree abroad or its equivalent, shall present the recognition of the degree before the Ministry of Education.
Note 5: If any fraudulent means are used during the admission process, the applicant will be disqualified from enrolling in any academic program at the University for a term of 5 years, in addition to any criminal sanctions that may apply (Agreement No. 017/95 of the Superior Council).
