REQUIREMENTS FOR

Registration

.

Any person interested in participating in the admission process in the distance and virtual undergraduate academic programs offered by the Universidad Industrial de Santander, must comply with the following requirements:

  1. Having passed the eleventh grade.
  2. Having obtained a minimum score (31 points in each of the areas) in the State Exam:
  • State exam taken before 2000: 213 points minimum.
  • State exam taken from 2000 to 2011: 31 points in all areas except Foreign Language.
  • State exam taken as of 2012: certify a minimum score of 31 points in each of the tests that make up the state examination: Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Citizenship, Natural Sciences and English.

Disclaimer 1:   If the student took the Saber 11° State Exam in 2012, 2013 and the first semester of 2014, only the results re-scaled to the new state exam structure, issued by the ICFES, will be taken into account.

Disclaimer 2: For applicants exempted from the English test, according to Article 1 of Decree 34 of 1980 of the Ministry of National Education, only scores in Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Citizenship and Natural Sciences will be taken into account.

Disclaimer 3:   The state exam presented in September 2010, must be transformed to the standardized scores according to the table issued by ICFES. For this purpose, Universidad Industrial de Santander has a score simulator and the agreement of the Academic Council where the transformation of the scores of the state exam presented on the date shown in this link is regulated.

Disclaimer 4: In case of being admitted, the student who obtained his bachelor’s degree abroad or its equivalent, must submit the validation of the degree to the Ministry of National Education, if you have not done the procedure enter the following link Convalidations in Colombia

The applicant is warned that the use of fraudulent means of any kind in the enrollment and/or admission process disqualifies the applicant for a term of 5 years to be enrolled and/or admitted in any academic program of the University, without prejudice to any criminal sanctions that may apply (Agreement No. 017/95 of the Superior Council).

Disclaimer 5: Given its affiliation to a propaedeutic cycle, to enroll in the Agroindustrial Technology program it is necessary to have a technical degree in related areas (agroindustrial or agricultural and livestock). Likewise, to enroll in the Agroindustrial Administration program, it is necessary to have a technological degree in similar fields.

Disclaimer 6: The tuition fee for those who hold a professional academic degree granted by a university institution duly recognized by the Ministry of National Education will be two (2) minimum legal wage(s) in force (Superior Council Agreement No. 016 of 2008).

REGISTRATION

PAYMENT

From Wednesday, May 10 to Thursday, June 22, 2023, payment of registration fees can be made by electronic payment or downloading a receipt to pay at authorized banks (B.B.V.A. – Bogotá – Comultrasan – Davivienda – Helm Bank – Itaú – Occidente – Scotiabank Colpatria).

For electronic payment, please follow the process below:

  1. Click on the button “Ventas” (Sales) located at the bottom of this section.
  2. Select the option “Registro” (Registration). Please note that the data you enter in the form are the data of the person who will participate in the registration process.
  3. Once registered, click on the option “Servicios” (Services).
  4. Search for Services: INSCRIPCIÓN PREGRADO A DISTANCIA Y VIRTUAL (UNDERGRADUATE DISTANCE AND VIRTUAL ENROLLMENT (one option).
  5. Then click on “Adquirir” (Purchase).
  6. Enter requested information: document type, document number and access password.
  7. Finally, choose an option: Electronic Payment or Receipt for payment in Bank and Select “confirmar” (Confirm).

For any request or claim it is necessary to keep the proof of payment of the registration fees. The payment made will be applied exclusively to the registration for the FIRST ACADEMIC PERIOD OF 2023.

COMPLETE

From 3:00 p.m. On Thursday, May 11 until Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:50 p.m., you will be able to register online. The following documents in PDF format must be available before registering:

  • Identity card.
  • SABER test results.
  • Voting certificate, if age applies, this document is not mandatory.
  • Login to the UIS website in the option Applicants – Distance and Virtual Undergraduate Enrollment – Enrollment Process – Online Enrollment. Follow the instructions:
  • Click on “realizar Inscripción” (Make registration).
  • Clik on “Acepto términos de manejo de datos personales.” (I accept the terms of handling of personal data.)
  • If the payment was made through the procedures and services option, select the following option “OTROS PAGOS” (other payments) and enter the document number.

When entering the web registration form, you should keep in mind the following information:

  • The ICFES AC registration number entered in the web form must be the same as the one attached in PDF.
  • The contact information you provide during registration becomes the means by which the University will contact you, if necessary. It is important that the information you provide is truthful, current, accurate, and correctly worded.
  • It is ESSENTIAL to carefully verify the correct filling out of the data, since, once the registration process is closed, you will not be able to make any modifications to the information registered in the electronic form.

Once the registration of all the requested information is completed and it has been selected the option make registration, you will be assigned a registration number and you will be able to print the respective registration certificate, which will be sent to the registered e-mail address. If you do not have your registration certificate, it will be understood that you did not complete the process correctly, even if you have paid the registration fee, therefore, you will not participate in the selection process.

DISCLAIMER. The applicant will provide, under his/her responsibility and under oath, the complete, accurate and truthful information requested by the UIS for the registration process of enrollment as an applicant to any of the distance and virtual undergraduate academic programs offered by the Institution. (Article 2, Agreement No. 222 of September 16, 2014 of the Academic Council).

Any false information or omission is cause for cancellation of the registration.

The University will publish the list of pre-registrants in alphabetical order on June 20, 2024 after 5:00 p.m. Which is recommended to be consulted in this section.

RESULTS OF

Admission

The results of those admitted will be published on Wednesday, July 02, 2023 after 5:00 p.m. And will be available in the registration module.

  • Letter of Admission

Admitted applicants must download the admission letter, once the results are available, on the date mentioned above.

REALIZAR

Inscripción

.

Desde las 3:00 p.m. del jueves 11 de mayo de 2023 hasta el lunes 26 de junio de 2023 a las 23:50 horas, podrá formalizar la inscripción en línea. Antes de realizar la inscripción deberá tener disponible los siguientes documentos en formato PDF:

  • Documento de identidad.

  • Resultados de pruebas SABER.

  • Certificado de Votación, si aplica la edad, no es obligatorio este documento.

  • Ingresar al sitio web de la UIS en la opción Aspirantes – Inscripciones pregrado a distancia y virtual –  Proceso de inscripción – Inscripción en línea. Seguir las indicaciones:

  • Dar clic en “realizar Inscripción”.

  • Acepto términos de manejo de datos personales.

  • Si realizó el pago por la opción de trámites y servicios, seleccione la opción “OTROS PAGOS” e ingrese el número de documento.

Al ingresar al formulario de inscripción web deberá tener presente la siguiente información:

  • El numero de registro AC deI ICFES digitado en el formulario vía web, debe ser el mismo que adjunta en PDF.

  • Los datos de contacto que usted registre en la inscripción, se convierten en el medio a través del cual la Universidad se comunicará con usted, de ser necesario. Agradecemos que los datos sean verídicos, actuales, de su propiedad y que estén correctamente redactados.

  • Es NECESARIO verificar cuidadosamente el correcto diligenciamiento de los datos, dado que, una vez cerrado el proceso de inscripción no podrá realizar modificaciones a la información registrada en el formulario electrónico.

Una vez concluya el registro de toda la información solicitada y seleccione la opción registrar inscripción, se le asignará un número de inscripción y podrá imprimir la respectiva constancia de inscripción, la cual será enviada al correo electrónico registrado. Si usted, no tiene su constancia de inscripción se entenderá que no realizó el proceso correctamente, así hubiese efectuado el pago de la inscripción, por lo tanto, no participará en el proceso de selección.

NOTA. El aspirante suministrará, bajo su responsabilidad y gravedad de juramento, la información completa, exacta y verídica solicitada por la UIS para el proceso de registro de la inscripción como aspirante a cualquiera de los programas académicos de pregrado a distancia y virtual ofrecidos por la Institución. (Artículo 2, Acuerdo No. 222 de septiembre 16 de 2014 del Consejo Académico).

Cualquier información falsa u omisión es causal de anulación de la inscripción.
